Post What is the range of a wireless keyboard/mouse?

I am thinking about setting up wireless speaker system a small pc connected to my LCD TV, so I can surf the web from the couch, and would want a wireless keyboard/mouse, which I've never Wireless Earpieces bought. Is it true they only have about a 3 foot range? I need MUCH more range. Any suggestions? Are bluetooth bluetooth headsets better as far as range?

I had a Microsft Keyboard and mouse and it was good for maybe 2 meters or more?
